I tried wiring an electrical plug-in outlet into the existing wiring to my light switch but when I plugged in a lamp to the electrical outlet my overhead light went very dim and when i turned off the switch to my overhead light,it just dimmed but did not completely go off.I switched the wiring around in all possible ways I could have.
