I ahve many trees and at age 73 needed a light weight leaf blower/vac to clean off deck and drive. Love it but the battery only last 16 minutes.

36V Lithium Hard Surface Sweeper Vac # LSWV36 with Battery #LBXR36
    Pros:

Light weight and I can carry my Leaf vac outside without making me tired

    Cons:

The battery only last 16 minutes. Not enough time for me to vac the deck or blow it off

    Worthless. Don't last.

The batteries don't last and I have only charged them 50 times in the last year and a half.
    Pros:

I don't because I own several BD products. The blower and tree trimmer and edger all work well but the batteries don't last long. Why don't they go to lithium batteries.

    Cons:

Look at the pros. The batteries suck and so does customer support. I am very disappointed in Black and Decker.

Have 3 batteries and 2 chargers that came with chainsaw and trimmer. After 2 years, batteries are all useless - won't hold a charge. B&D basically says "suck it up and buy new batteries". Very poor support.
    Pros:

Products work OK when brand new

    Cons:

batteries are trash shortly after purchase. Very poor customer support.

    Very good product

Bought this to replace an off brand 12 volt VSR and it is leaps above the old unit,
    Pros:

Most everything, good balance for ease of handling only negative is the continued use of NI-CADs for power source in portable tools, NI-CADS must bee Discharged completely before Recharge or the Memory effect will only charge it to full, and thereafter the memory of the charge will only accept that same amount

    Cons:

NI-CAD batteries, as NIMH or lithium-ion are easily available

    Overrated battery life

I recently bought the weed-eater and blower combo. Charged the batteries for more than ten hours. I used the edger feature first and the battery died less than 30 mins. I switched to the other battery for the blower and it died as well in less than 15 mins of usage. Recharged them again overnight and this morning tried to use them and again less than 30mins both died out.
    Pros:

Easy to snap in and take out of the edger and blower.

    Cons:

No long battery life! Need to work on extending the 18v battery life for longer use.

    So far totally satisfied

Just bought this new 1.5 18 volt battery for a replacement to my Pole Saw, the original battery did ok but finally stopped working, so after asking B&D for some info bought this upgraded one, what a difference, I just cut down a dead tree about 25/30 ft tall and a good 5" in diameter, whizzed right through it and still had enough power left to cut almost all of it in 2' pieces.
    Pros:

As mentioned, lots of power (whole lot more than original) battery

    Cons:

    Nothing

18 V weed wacker uses batteries too quickly, barely 15 minutes.
    Pros:

Lack of cord makes remote usage easy.

    Cons:

Batteries run down too quickly. For the cost it is a major disappointment, I have 3 batteries but will be using the corded model for work around the house!

I like the convenience of cordless, the tool seems to be functioning pretty good, but, the batteries are not up to the advertised life span
    Pros:

Convenience of cordless, light weight of tool

    Cons:

Shortness of life span, and number of re-charges for the batteries, does not match the company's claims

Decent battery for the cost, but power and battery life needs to be revamped

Have several yard tools that came with two batteries. I have the ability to keep five batteries charged at once. I have a corner lot and can just get the work done before all batteries run down. Quick charges help if I need a partial charge to finish.
    Pros:

No cords to drag out and no mixing gas and oil.

    Cons:

Batteries have a short life span or number of recharges. Black and Decker needs to come up with a Lithum-ion battery that is no more expensive then the Ni-cad, or at least not a whole lot more expensive.
