    AWESOME!

God, I can't begin to tell you how much I love this saw. It makes really quick work out of cutting limbs and smaller branches. I hope they continue to make and support this product in the future, it's great.
    Pros:

I think the best part about it is the safety factor, having the blades enclosed as they makes it less likely that a klutz like me will harm themselves.

    Cons:

I do wish they would make the oil well a little bigger, it requires pretty frequent refills. The little squeeze bottle that came with the saw is OK, but I actually found that a 5 cc syringe without the needle is perfect, because the tip exactly fits the hole and the 5 cc's of oil seems to be the exact right amount to refill.

    Fantastic Tool for my Arsenal

I've had the corded Alligator now for a second season. It has always worked in an excellent manner, as it should. It's so much easier to use than any traditional chainsaw, within its inherent limitations. You can't cut an 8" trunk, but that's why you have the big tools. his is great for smaller branches that would be difficult for any hand tool.
    Pros:

It makes my work go so much faster. I've used it around my yard and my mother-in-law's home. It will also get used at my sister's house. One thing I really like is the fact that though I bought an extra chain for the unit, I have not have to replace the original chain yet. I guess the guards prevent you from doing anything too stupid...

    Cons:

The area under the chain nuts cover can get clogged with fine greenery, such as arborvitae fronds. It's simple to clear with the included wrench.

    This Alligator really Rocks!

I first saw this on "Cool Tools" and went out to get one. I'm always a bit shy about chainsaws, especially due to the bounce back, so this is perfect for me! It makes kindling out of any bush or branch that I point it it. I have even taken down a few smaller trees with it. It has great safety features (no uncovered blades, need both hands on the handles or it stops running) so this klutz of a girl can keep her digits intact. I have even given two as gifts, and both of my friends love it as much as I do. It makes the twice yearly branch pick-up something to look forward to! Every homeowner with a bush or tree should have one of these.
    Pros:

It works, how great is that! It cuts branches like butter! It makes pruning easy and almost fun. Well constructed, and easy to take care of! The chain stays on, unlike two of my previous chainsaws.

    Cons:

It is now difficult to find at any retailer. I purchased all three (two as gifts) at Lowes, but they don't seem to carry them anymore (or I would have purchased another for a gift). I think the marketing unit didn't put enough effort into this, and they aren't out at retailers. It might not be a "manly" chainsaw, so maybe market this one toward the single woman homeowner. Heck, with the ease of use, the alligator could save a few marriages (sure Honey go watch the game, I'm going to clear some of those branches).

    A must-have tool for the gardener's arsenal!

I used my new AC-powered Alligator Lopper for the first time to trim several bushes. It's well made and easy to use. I highly recommend it.
    Pros:

The Alligator made quick work of my job, using much less effort than when using hand tools.

    Cons:

The Alligator IS a heavy tool, certainly heavier than standard lopping shears. But, you use less effort for a shorter amount of time. I just did cleanup as I went along to give my wrists and arms a rest between bushes.

    Best tool in my arsenal!!!

Light, easy to use and maintain. Have owned one since they first came out and I have finally worn it out. I have 3.3 acres with a lot of trees and shrubs, I grab my Gator before I grab my pole saw or my regular chain saw. Being a middle aged female the weight and ease of use is very important to me.
    Pros:

Very low maintenance and no operating problems like loose chain or such. Doesn't break every other day and lasts for years.

    Cons:

The bite could be a little wider but I can live with it. Went to buy another one and "Home Depot doesn't carry them anymore because the demand was too low." Their loss!!

    Best Chrstmas Present Ever

I bought this several years ago for a Christmas present for my husband. At first he didn't like it. (hadn't even used it yet) But after a tornado took down a 100 year old Oak tree as well as other trees in our yard, he got it out instead of the chain saw, and in less then a day he had the entire yard cleaned up, and went around the neighborhood helping others clean up the mess. Now he likes showing it and when others bet that it isn't faster then their chainsaws he has fun proving them wrong.
    Pros:

We like everything, I even get it out and use it, it is fun.

    Cons:

There is nothing not to like about this product. We do not load it out, since some people forget to return things.

Fast, easy, my teenager can help.
    Pros:

Protecting the chain, the jaws to hold the log.

    Cons:

Bigger mouth for larger pieces. But this in does not stop you from buying....

Works Great for Cutting Ornamental Grasses

Found out this works great if you are cutting of ornamental grasses. Quick and holds the grass so it doesn't move.
    Pros:

Ease of use and the versatility.

    Cons:

    Nothing to note.

Fantastic for pruning and clean up of pruned branches

Normally, I prune trees with a bow or pruning hand saw. I had cut several branches off a red maple tree in my front yard and faced the task of cutting them up by hand with a lopper or a saw. My neighbor across the street saw me and offered his Alligator to do the job. It turned a labor intensive job of 2 or so hours into a 30 minute job including bagging and loading the truck to haul the branches to our yard waste disposal facility. Needless to say, I happily returned his and went out and bought my own for use this fall! I have recommended them to my family and my son has bought one also!
    Pros:

The pruning capacity, the power, the safety features and the ease of use.

    Cons:

Probably needing an electric cord although my experience with battery powered tools like this has been less than stellar so I opted for the corded product

I have lots of small schrubs and this mkes getting into branches I want to remove much easier. Fits into small places with ease. Like that it is so safe to use.
    Pros:

Even my wife can use and I don't have to worry about her safety with it.

    Cons:

Keeping it in my garage. Family members like to borrow.
