    Bad workmanship again

We brought this easy to put together cabinet for our garage, we chose Black and Decker because we trusted the brand. We are not professionals and upon opening the box and reading the instructions started assembling I noticed that some of the predrilled holes were missing. This is the second piece from Black and Decker that is missing predrilled holes. This time I was able to drill my own holes but this made the easy to assemble cabinet hard to assemble. This consistently bad workmanship has changed out view of Black and Decker as a reliable company.
    Pros:

    Colour

    Cons:

    Bad workmanship not enough holes

    Not worth the money

I purchased this cabinet at Lowes about a week ago. It was relatively expensive at $170. When I got it home I found that the corner of the countertop was smashed. I assembled the unit and found that it was very cheaply made. It is all made from particle board and it splinters very easily. I had to install angle bracket in the drawers to keep them together. My kit also was missing several wooden dowels and screws needed for assembly. I followed the instructions and contacted the number on the documentation for a replacement counter top. The phone number takes you through a series of menus only to have you leave a message at the end. They tell you to leave you model, name, problem, part needed, address and phone number but only give you about 15 seconds of recording time. I called a week ago on the day I bought the unit and have heard nothing, so today I will call again. I would recommend going to Ikea since it is better quality or buying a metal cabinet.
    Pros:

    None

    Cons:

Poor quality for such a high priced unit Poor customer service
